Rothschild’s Antiques was opened at our current location by Pete Rothschild in 1969. The store originally sold mostly vintage clothes, but branched out gradually over the years into high-end antiques. By 1972, we were voted the Best Antique Store in America by Esquire Magazine.
After becoming deeply involved in St. Louis Real Estate, Pete formed a partnership with Interior Designer David Richardson in 1993. Together, their vision is to give St. Louis a diverse selection of antiques, fine art and home furnishings in a broad range of styles and prices.
Pete still enjoys having a strong influence in the store, while David is the store Director, doing most of the buying and display. Our store is well-traveled, specializing in nothing, but loving everything. Most recently, we were listed in St. Louis Magazine’s 2005 “A-List Shopping.”
Offering full-service interior design, Rothschild’s Antiques is a must-see and feel shopping experience.
